The Prevention Research E-Learning Centre is designed to help trial staff, advocates, policymakers, and other stakeholders understand and speak knowledgeably about the complexities of HIV prevention research.

The first course within the E-Learning Centre will focus on microbicides. Over the coming years, we envision expanding the offerings to a broad range of topics including other prevention modalities, as well as other aspects of the research enterprise.

Each course is self-instructional and interactive but can also be used in conjunction with in-person trainings. The course also offers downloadable resources such as talking points, key references, and factsheets for distribution. After successfully working through a course, users can choose to print a certificate of completion. Some course are also available for continuing education credit.
